The journey took three days! The trip started with a morning flight from Nairobi to Kampala for lunch followed by an afternoon flight to Wadi Halfa on the Nile in the Sudan. Wadi Halfa old town no longer exists as it was flooded following the construction of the Aswan dam but the "new town" is now located on the shore of Lake Nasser.
